An annual event that designers, makers, and thinkers can look forward to. Their mission is to allow creatives to explore the process, practice, and craft of design across disciplines. Wieden + Kennedy participated by hosting a symposium entitled “Non-Billable Hours” to showcase a selection of employees and their off-the-clock projects.


Problem #1:  Fill the atrium to support Wieden + Kennedy's role in Design Week Portland

Solution: After designing posters from an old time card, I targeted local colleges' art departments to gain exposure with an up-and-coming crowd. I also coordinated speakers from Wieden + Kennedy to speak (see Problem #2 below).


Problem #2: How do you lure highly elusive intelligent creatures to present at Design Week Portland?

Solution: Beer

Role: Bribing people from Wieden + Kennedy to speak at Design Week Portland about their hobbies/interests outside of work.
